I’ve spent a lifetime with words— all sizes, shapes, and colours. To be human is to make sense of what is around us. There's no better way to communicate than through the scribbles and emotions of the written page.

Myself - In my own words

I’m a former journalist, writing for regional, local and national press. For the past 30 years, I've worked as a magazine publisher in all forms of media, including print, digital, and TV. I’ve lived and worked extensively in the USA, UK and a spell in Japan and Canada. I now work full-time writing novels, and short stories.

My task, which I am trying to achieve is, by the power of the written word, to make you hear, to make you feel--it is, before all, to make you see. - Joseph Conrad.

I love this quote from Conrad. It conveys what we as writers strive for: to make the page come alive and tell the story. And for each reader, that becomes a unique experience.

I'm up to my ears in unwritten words - J. D Sallinger

Oh so, so true. As writers, we don’t make anything up. It's all there, lurking in our heads and heart. Get the words down on the page. Chisel away the excess. Wait for the reveal. Tell the story — the end.
